I’m thinking about a flatpack kitchen – where should I start?

The first step is to book a free planning consultation at IKEA or Bunnings, where you’ll be able to see the available products, and have the help of an experienced salesperson. The plan will also show you how much the kitchen materials will cost, and is a great way to begin the process of planning your space. You can then email us a link to your plan and we can send you a quote.

I am daunted by the renovation process – where does CanKit fit in?

Once you have decided on your design, we will be with you every step of the way, from ordering the kitchen, laundry or bathroom materials and overseeing delivery, to pulling out and disposing of old cabinets and fittings. As well as a high-end joinery finish, we’ll coordinate our team to ensure a seamless installation, from plumbing and electrical work to tiling and plastering.

Are all your tradies licensed and insured?

Yes, our experienced tradies are all fully licensed and insured, as well as tried and tested through countless renovations.

I’m worried my design might not be accurate – how can I be sure?

Thanks to more than 10 years of experience, Don and the team will be able to ensure that the plan is perfect for the space before you order it.

Do I have to use IKEA appliances if I go with an IKEA kitchen?

Integrated appliances that fit inside an IKEA cabinet (usually a dishwasher, fridge, microwave or rangehood) will need to be IKEA branded. But if you opt for freestanding appliances, you can choose your preferred brand, or keep the appliances you already own.

Can I choose a benchtop from a different supplier?

Yes, you can! We have worked closely with several external benchtop suppliers, and can help you coordinate the ordering process.

IKEA don’t supply the colours I want – can I customise the look of my kitchen?

Yes, you can! This is one of the top reasons to choose a flatpack kitchen. We work with a range of suppliers who provide customised IKEA door and drawer-fronts, and can also customise cabinets and cupboards when the IKEA version isn’t quite what you want.

Can you also renovate my laundry and/or bathroom?

We sure can! Laundries often come hand-in-hand with kitchens as the cabinetry is similar. Meanwhile, we have transformed many Canberra bathrooms thanks to our thoughtful team of tradies skilled at making your space just right.

I hate mess – will there be much for me to clean up after you’ve finished?

No way – we pride ourselves on exceptional order and cleanliness both throughout the installation process and after your renovation is complete.

I don’t want a whole new kitchen or bathroom – I just want to refresh what I have already. Can you help?

We no longer take on smaller renovation projects like this – our focus is on full transformation of kitchens, bathrooms and laundries.
